Descending with the Goddess

Descending with the Goddess Workshops

There comes a point on the spiritual path where rising is no longer the only way forward. Where reaching for more light, more clarity, or more transcendence stops touching the place that actually needs attention. I’ve found that moment is not a failure or a loss of faith. It is the beginning of descent, and the beginning of the truth of who we are. And descent, when held properly, is not something to fear. It is where real change begins.

Descending with the Goddess workshops grew out of that understanding and lived life experience. These gatherings are not about becoming a better version of yourself or fixing something that is broken. They are about facing the full cycle of life. They involve shadow work experiences that release old energy to allow new energy to enter. A descent journey is about learning how to move inward and downward with awareness, presence, and honesty. It is a pathway to reclaiming your sovereign power, both as an individual human and as someone connected to the collective unconscious where magic happens.

Just like individual shadow work journeys, descent journeys are about meeting the parts of yourself that have been waiting patiently beneath the surface and allowing them space to be seen without rushing them into resolution. These parts often show up as distortions in your outer world that trigger emotional responses you do not like or want. This is the call to go within, to “do the work.” Often this is referred to as shadow work, but it is also a descent. The main difference is that shadow work can be one specific thread of inner work to release an old pattern or energy, while descent work can involve one or many shadows appearing together, clearing spaciousness on a much larger and deeper level. In truth, the terms are interchangeable, and it is important not to get stuck on terminology.

Descent journeys can also move beyond clearing shadows and into opening the other side. The more hidden side of life that is full of potential and magic. Your personal magic. This is a sacred path, attuned to the ways of the Divine Feminine.

Every goddess tradition carries a descent story because descent is a universal initiation. Inanna descends. Persephone crosses the threshold. Lilith returns through exile and shadow. These stories were never meant to be symbolic only. They are maps for lived experience. They show us that transformation does not happen by bypassing discomfort, but by walking through it consciously and returning with insight.

These workshops are grounded in that lineage of knowing. They are gentle, contained, and deeply respectful of the nervous system. This is not therapy, and it is not performance. There is no pressure to share, no expectation to break open, and no demand for emotional display. The work unfolds slowly, guided by myth, body awareness, astrology, and subtle inner listening. The emphasis is always on integration, not intensity.

What happens in a descent space is often quiet, but profound. Old patterns surface not to overwhelm you, but to be understood. Emotions arise not to take over, but to communicate. Clarity comes not from forcing answers, but from staying present long enough for truth to emerge in its own time. Descent teaches discernment. It teaches you how to remain with yourself when deeper layers open, and how to return without losing ground.

These workshops tend to call in women who have already done a lot of inner work and are sensing that something more honest is waiting beneath the surface. Women who are tired of spiritual bypassing, who feel drawn to goddess myth and shadow work, and who are ready to meet their inner world with maturity rather than urgency. You do not need a title or an identity to attend. You only need a willingness to listen inwardly.

The goddess path is different because she does not rescue you from your shadow. She sits with you in it. She teaches you how to hold complexity without collapsing, how to let old identities fall away without rushing rebirth, and how to recognise power that does not dominate or perform. This work is not about becoming someone new. It is about remembering who you were before you learned to leave yourself.

Descending with the Goddess is not a one-time experience. Descent is cyclical, just like the Moon, just like the psyche, just like life. Some women come once and receive exactly what they need. Others feel called to return again and again, each time meeting a new layer with greater clarity and self-trust. There is no hierarchy in this work, only timing.

As this work continues to unfold, these workshops will begin to weave more deeply with my writing, the Black Moon Lilith journal, and future courses for women who feel called to walk the descent in a more structured way. But everything begins here, with the simple willingness to pause, turn inward, and listen.

If you’ve been feeling that quiet pull, the one that doesn’t shout but doesn’t go away either, this work may already be speaking to you. For now, there is nothing you need to do. Just notice where the descent is already happening in your life. The goddess meets you there.

Shadow Working Journal

If you feel called to explore your shadows with the support of a Priestess, I warmly invite you to join my Shadow Working study group. This is a sacred space that meets live online each week, where we work with shadow gently, honestly, and with support.

The study group comes free with the Shadow Working Journal, and all sessions are recorded and kept in the portal so you can rewatch anytime if you can’t attend live.

You don’t have to walk this work alone. ✨ You can find the journal here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GJPVNBCB
