The sacred was never meant to stay separate from your life.
G’day, I’m Lisa Hoffman — author, priestess and oracle. I create Goddess books, Shadow-to-Gift work and lived feminine practices for women who have built a life, carried the responsibility, done the growing — and can feel that something deeper, wilder and more truthful is now asking to live through it.

A priestess in ordinary life
This is not a story about leaving the real world behind.
The photograph beside this is me in my early twenties. Long before I had the language I use now, the sacred and the ordinary were already sharing the same life. I did not know this would become books, Goddess work, shadow-to-gift practice or priestesshood. I was simply already listening.
My spiritual practice happens inside a very ordinary human life. Most mornings I priestess in my pyjamas at around four o’clock, before the rest of the house is awake. I meditate. I listen. I write. I channel. I commune with Goddess and the deeper feminine currents that have shaped my books. Then the day begins.
There are manuscripts to edit, classes to teach, workshops to prepare, family life, creative work, emails, decisions, mistakes, dishes and all the other things that make a life a life. For me, priestesshood is not a costume or an escape from those things. It is the practice of bringing what is received in sacred space back into the way you speak, create, choose, love, work and live.
If a spiritual truth cannot survive contact with ordinary life, I am not finished with it yet.
How the work became the work
I have always lived between worlds.
The work I teach now did not begin as a business plan or a system I decided to invent. It grew through grief, descent, initiation, travel, healing, Goddess relationship and years of learning to recognise the sacred inside an ordinary human life.

Descent came first
My father died when I was fourteen. Grief brought me into the descent journey far earlier than I would ever have chosen. What followed became more than fifteen years of walking alongside Goddess through loss, shadow, healing, self-discovery and remembrance.

The first priestess initiation
I was initiated as a priestess when I was twenty-one. For the next nine years, much of my learning happened through the cycles of the Moon and the Divine Feminine. Month after month, I learnt rhythm, change, release, return and the wisdom of cyclical rather than linear time.

Goddess, land and pilgrimage
During those years I worked deeply with the archetypal currents of Artemis, Persephone, Inanna and Ereshkigal. Travel became part of that education too. Ancient places and sacred landscapes taught me different ways of understanding ritual, death, renewal and relationship with the living world.
Later I travelled to Glastonbury, where I was initiated as a Priestess of Avalon. There I learnt more deeply through the Wheel of the Year and the natural laws held in Earth’s cycles: growth and decay, descent and return, darkness and light, and the way life continually moves through endings into new forms.
During that period in Glastonbury, I also moved through a full cycle of self-healing. I did not yet have the language for the energetic shadow-working method I now teach. I learnt it by living it — noticing where energy was held, meeting what had been hidden, and discovering that the shadow was not simply something to uncover but something that could be transformed. That became one of the major foundations of my teaching.
When I returned to Australia, another initiation came in an entirely different way. I experienced what I understand as an energetic initiation by the Great Mother into High Priestesshood. It was not a formal ceremony conducted by another person. It happened through direct spiritual experience, and it opened me more fully to channelling.
Lilith came later
She was not the beginning of the path.
When I eventually sat down to write about my experiences with Goddess, Lilith arrived with a presence I had not expected. I knew very little about her mythology at the time, yet the words came with such intensity that I could barely type quickly enough. That first book was written and published within three months.
It was through that experience that I began to recognise channelling as part of my work, although communion with the Divine Feminine had already been woven through my life for many years. Lilith became another doorway — not the beginning of the path, but a powerful continuation of everything descent had already taught me.
Looking back, the path makes more sense than it did while I was walking it. The work was being lived long before I knew what I would call it.
What sits underneath everything
What I believe about this work.
They are the thread running through the books, the Goddess paths, the courses, the one-to-one work and the way I understand transformation itself.

Shadow is a doorway.
Seeing the pattern matters, but seeing it is not the end. The deeper work is integration: finding what the pattern has held, what it protected, and what gift becomes available when that energy can finally move differently.

Knowing has to become lived.
Insight can be beautiful and still change nothing. Gnosis becomes meaningful when it reaches the body, relationships, choices, boundaries, creativity, work and the ordinary moments in which a different life is actually made.
Wild • Wise • Witch
These are not three women you have to become.
They are three currents that can already exist inside the same woman. At different moments one may be louder, one may be hidden, and one may be waiting for permission.
Wild
The part of you that remembers body, instinct, truth, desire, freedom and the sacred No.
Wise
The part that can witness, discern, understand patterns, listen deeply and hold the wider story.
Witch
The part that transforms knowledge into practice — ritual, creativity, choice, magic and lived change.
Midlife has a way of making the distance between who you have been and what now wants to live impossible to ignore. This work is not about replacing the capable woman you already are. It is about allowing more of you to come back into the room.
What I do now
The work takes different forms, but it comes from one place.
My background in education shaped how I teach. I love taking complex spiritual ideas and making them practical, accessible and usable. Channelled does not mean ungrounded
Receiving is the beginning. Living it is the test.
I use the word channelled because some material arrives through meditation, inner listening, image, symbol and a way of knowing that does not feel purely intellectual. But receiving something is not the same as declaring it unquestionable truth. The material still has to be written, researched where research is relevant, practised, witnessed and brought into relationship with an actual human life. Much of that begins at four o’clock in the morning, in my pyjamas, before the rest of the house wakes. That meeting between mystery and ordinary life is where I am most interested.

Wherever you enter
You do not need to become a different woman.
You may be here because Lilith called you. Because a meme made you laugh and then made you uncomfortable. Because the life you built no longer feels large enough for all of you. Because you want to understand a shadow pattern, return to your body, make art again, feel desire again, practise magic, meet Goddess or simply hear yourself more clearly.
Begin there. The work does not ask you to throw away the life you have created. It asks what becomes possible when more of your own truth is allowed to live inside it.
